I remember when this was an old abandoned train station. It was renovated in late 1993 or early 1994 and became "The Shot", a bar and pool hall.
  • Covent Garden Market, LondonGuy wrote 17 years ago:
I miss the old market. The current one just lacks that charm that the old building had.
  • Oxford Arms, LondonGuy wrote 17 years ago:
They sure didn't last long. Not the most ideal spot for a bar I must say.

In continuation of my previous post. This was a Bank Of Montreal. The one across the street, the blue building, that was the Toronto Dominion bank. I remember that because that's the one my parents used for years.

Whoever made this entry must not be living in London anymore. It's been an H&R Block for at least 7 or 8 years. It was a pool hall in 1994, that shut down a few years alter where it sat vacant til 2001. The H&R Block that was beside Beal moved down here after that.

  • Lorne Avenue Public School, LondonGuy wrote 17 years ago:
I went to this school from 83 up to early in the 91-92 school year. Most of the teachers back then were horrible, but there were a few that really made a difference. Namely Mrs. Lavery and Mr. McFadden. The guidance couseller Mr. Tucker, who is now the head of the London school board was another one that cared about the kids. The worst? Pretty much all the VP's and Principals we had, Mr. Guest, Mr. Huedec, Mrs. Jones and the dreadful Mr. Smith.

I worked here several years ago. The place is a joke and needs a complete overhaul in management.

For years I've wondered what this is. I entered a very vague, and probably wrong description for it. Does anyone know what this is?

I was a client of CYS many years ago,(in 1992 thru 1995) back when they were on Dundas Street, across from CCH. I also ended up living in their group home over on St. George Street. While things weren't perfect, they set me on the right path in life. In my time there, I met some pretty interesting people. None of which I, unfortunately am in contact with anymore.
